Bishopsteignton House Residential Home
Bishopsteignton House was built in 1840 and today is a beautifully restored Victorian villa overlooking the Teign estuary.
With Dartmoor to the west, the village of Bishopsteignton is two miles from the popular seaside resort of Teignmouth. It is
situated in one of Britain's most attractive coastal areas and within easy reach of many locations deemed to be areas of
outstanding natural beauty.
Bishopsteignton House provides accommodation for 27 clients in 27 single bedrooms. The majority of these being large with en-suite facilites.
The grand lounge and dining room both have wonderful views across the estuary, surrounding countryside and the fabulous
gardens that are a special feature of Bishopsteignton House.
A wonderful feature of Bishopsteignton House is the main foyer where many clients like to gather for morning coffee and to read the papers.
Residents enjoy frequent trips out in the customized mini-bus, the outings include shopping trips, theatre and regular visits to the pub, but the favourite is when they are driven around the beautiful Devon countryside usually stopping en-route for tea. Activities include whist, bridge, bingo, scrabble, and a weekly quiz.
