Cockhaven Manor
The Cockhaven Manor, tucked away in the village of Bishopsteignton, is a traditional 16th century inn, where you are guaranteed a warm welcome, and, in the
colder months, a traditional roaring log fire. Our philosophy centres on offering high quality food, at value for money prices, and this ensures the ongoing
popularity of our restaurant amongst locals and visitors. Whether you are looking for a candlelit meal for two, a family celebration or a wedding banquet for 90
guests, you can be sure of a wonderful meal and hospitality.
We offer an ideal location for your stay, whether you are looking to tour the South Devon coast, or head inland to Dartmoor. We are located just 2 miles from the coast at Teignmouth, and only 20 minutes drive from Torquay or Exeter, so offer the perfect base for a holiday, whatever your interests.
The Cockhaven Manor is a family run free-house, meaning that we can offer a wide range of beers, wines and spirits. We have an extensive wine list, and
include local wine, from Old Walls Vineyard, and local beers, from Red Rock Brewery. Our focus is on serving food "fit for a king", and our head chef,
David Baldwin, has returned to his West Country roots, bringing with him his experience of catering for lavish London banquets. These influences are evident
across our a la carte menu and fresh fish and specials boards. Whatever your taste, we guarantee you will find something to whet your appetite.
All our raw ingredients are of the highest quality, and where possible they are also sourced locally, including River Teign mussels and eggs from Riverside Poultry.
We offer a wide variety of dishes on our menu, both lunchtime and evenings, 7 days per week. Enjoy a bar meal in the bar or conservatory, or choose from our gourmet A'La Carte
menu in the restaurant. During the summer months you can also enjoy an al fresco meal in our gardens. Dishes on our specials board make the most of seasonal produce,
which are creatively used to produce imaginative dishes.
Our Sunday Lunch is the ideal opportunity to experience the Cockhaven Manor fare. The Herald Express "Sunday Lunch Inspector" described the superb food as "fantastic
value for money" - a 3 course Sunday lunch is only £10.95, with a range of starters, main courses, desserts and coffee included. Be sure to book in advance
though, as Sunday Lunch is always fully sold out.
